Sarah Parker Remond Centre, UCL launches PRALER partnership 27 June 2026.

The partnership aims to amplify knowledge democracy and academic diplomacy to promote indigenous perspectives for Planet Repairs.

The Decolonial Open Communiversity – Internationalist Network (DOC-IN) welcomes the initiative of the Sarah Parker Remond Centre and the launch of the People to Peoples Internationalist Diplomacy project (#PPID) at University College London, United Kingdom.

The partnership between Sarah Parker Remond Centre and the Planet Repairs Action Learning Educational Revolution (PRALER) is a concrete step forwards in upholding academic freedom and knowledge democracy. It commits researchers in Europe to partner equitably with indigenous and other community knowledge-holders promoting research-community partnerships strengthening knowledge sharing for community empowerment and Planet Repairs.

The event featured contributions from various indigenous community perspectives, highlighting the worsening realities of violence against indigenous communities organising in the Global South including indigenous peoples of Peru, Mexico, and West Afrika (Burkina Faso and Ghana), and the role of effective People to Peoples Internationalist Diplomacy in mobilising practical solidarity.

The workshops organised practical approaches to building Peoples’ Diplomacy, building a toolkit for South-North solidarity.

We also launched the Sarah Parker Remond Centre x Planet Repairs blog, Bridging the Gap, to amplify research collaboration and promote indigenous knowledge-production. This platform seeks to continue to amplify perspectives and strengthen access to perspectives around the world.

#PPID will continue with local workshops and activities throughout 2026 and 2027, with actions promoting collaboration and effect approaches to internationalist cooperation. We are actively supporting developments into academic communities of practice supporting researchers building equitable partnerships globally. These efforts will support the role educational institutions play in promoting internationalist diplomacy in the 21st Century.
