educational revolution
We believe that young people have always had an important role to play in revitalising movements, and today when the majority of the world’s young people are in the Majority World and all of the Global North countries are becoming increasingly aged societies, youth-led practical internationalism is profoundly important to sustain genuinely progressive movements in the UK.
We believe that miseducation holds a particularly important role in keeping us divided both locally and globally, but that a globally connected process of education has the potential for fostering the internationalist solidarity and global citizenship necessary for us to be able to build a new world through active cooperation. This is why our youth organising is focused on contesting miseducation within existing institutions, building new grassroots institutions based on the needs of our communities and creating the conditions for internationalist exchanges between movements.
Planet Repairs
“When safeguarding the rights of past, present and future generations: the need to proceed from a standpoint of Pluriversality that highlights the nexus of reparatory, environmental and cognitive justice in articulating the impetus to repair holistically our relationship with, and inseparability from, Mother Earth, Environment and the Pluriverse giving due recognition to Indigenous Knowledges in contrast with western-centric Enlightenment ideals that separated Humanity from Nature and thereby justified exploitation for capital accumulation.” – Esther Xosei
Planet Repairs, as named here by Esther Xosei, has emerged as a holstic political project from the International Social Movement for Afrikan Reparations (ISMAR) and directs all of the PRALER’s programs of work.
Planet Repairs means taking back power for our collective liberation, in the ways we think and be, in the relationship with our lands and Mother Earth, and in reclaiming true sovereignty. We are compelled to make serious changes.

Throughout the Majority World, the colonised peoples of the world and the oppressed classes of the world from Asia, Abya Yala, Afrika, Oceania, and Europe are being increasingly attacked by a system that is against life, organised by an establishment minority.
For our communities this means: heightening repression through state, state-sanctioned, non-state and paramilitary reactionary violence; the persecution, criminalisation and surveillance of those defending our Mother Earth, peoples and human rights; attempts to isolate, invisibilise, and marginalise struggles in order to destroy them with impunity; the rise of miseducation and misinformation through the controlling of mass media, and imposing a ‘universal’ occidental truth that erases our knowledges and histories; an increasingly militarised turn to fascism and ecofascism in the face of the escalating climate and ecological crises and the ongoing pillaging of our lands, waters and resources globally.

The decolonisation of education
The objective of PRALER is to strengthen the position of our communities and our struggles and to build from these an interconnected and commons of knowledge: The UBUNTUPACHAVIDYA Peoples’ Communiversity of Planet Repairs Action Learning (UPCOPRAL)

In practice this means rebuilding Internationalist institutions, networks, and relationships that allow our movements to build global power together and fight together – including PRALER’s work to build the UPCOPRAL.
UPCOPRAL is the vision of an institution for unifying peoples’ power through educational systems and processes, highlighting indigeneity, decolonisation, and Pluriversality, to secure Transformative Adaptation, and Planet Repairs Action-Learning Educational Revolution, to produce an increasingly interconnected global academy commons.
UBUNTUPACHAVIDYA is a Global Justice conceptual framework of Intercultural Communion for the Internationalist Solidarity Defence of human, peoples’ and Mother Earth’s Rights.
- Afrikan concept of “Ubuntu”; (seeing one’s own Humanity in the shared Humanity of all peoples of the World )
- Plus the indigenous concept from Abya Yala (so-called Latin America) of “Pachamama” (Living Mother Earth);
- Together with the indigenous Asian concept of “Vidya” (true Knowledge);
Altogether to mean: “Sharing our Common Humanity in the ‘All for One and One for All’ One Love Embrace, true Knowledge and invincible Defence of our Mother Earth”!
